Here Comes NASHI

Meeting at its annual summer camp in Seliger, the Kremlin-led youth group, Nashi, decided to establish bands of militia consisting of disadvantaged youngsters armed with stun guns. Under the plan, hundreds of thousands of Putin’s young stormtroopers would patrol Russia’s streets and have the right to check people’s IDs. The initiative to establish the Russian Militia Association (Vserossiiskaya Assotsiatsiya Druzhin, VAD) comes from Vasily Yakemenko, director of the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and former leader of the Nashists. The organisation would be financed from the state budget and receive administrative support from Rosmolodezh.
Attentive readers will remember our report a two weeks ago on human rights activist Albert Pchelintsev, who was attacked by a gang of youth and shot in the mouth with . . . a stun gun. Gazeta.ru has more details on the proposed new use of NASHI stormtroopers.

Yevgeni Bunimovich, teacher and member of the Moscow city council from the liberal Yabloko party, compares the Nashist militia project to the Hitler Youth (Hitler-Jugend) of Nazi Germany. The Kremlin is drawing the nation’s troubled youth to the streets to solve its own political problems. Such a project is educationally detrimental and dangerous for the society as a whole, Mr Bunimovich says.
The idiotism of the Nashists is well established, remarks the Russian contemporary writer, Vladimir Sorokin. First they campaigned to exchange “bad books for good ones,” then they brought together 50,000 Santa Clauses in Moscow, he recalls. This latest initiative is yet another act of insanity and evidence of the ruling regime’s paranoia and idiotism, Mr Sorokin says.
Insanity, paranoia and idiotism were all hallmarks of the USSR. Reviewing Russia’s shameless lies about Georgian “genocide” in Ossetia last weekend, the New York Times stated: ““It was as if senior Russian officials pulled out a dog-eared Soviet propaganda playbook that called for hurling the most outlandish charge, without recognizing that in the modern global media climate, their credibility would quickly suffer if the facts proved otherwise.”
Slowly but surely, the world is beginning to recognize what we’ve been saying here on this blog for more than three years now: We confront a neo-Soviet state in Russia. The largely clueless leadership of U.S. President Obama and his Russia team give us little comfort that our side understands the risks we face.

Just give it a few years and this organized goon squad of anti-socials from the lower social margins will morph from terrorizing Putin’s prescribed hit list to ordinary citizens at random. Count on it.

No surprise in that. Couple that with a strange tolerance and even a friendliness that the European, so called, Social-Democratic and other Leftist Parties (with a cowardly aquiescence of many “conservatives”) have developed towards Russia’s (but not only) barbaric regime and you will have a clear proof that the “Social-Democrats” are as hostile towards true democracy as the Commies (or whtaever the mask they are willing to put on)themselves.
Perhaps the mopst blatant and outrageous example of that subhuman hipocricy is former German Chancelor, Gerhard Shroeder, who has for years collaborated with Putin to weaken the Western Europe’s energy independence and make it dependant on the Russian gas and oil. For that treason, Shroeder was awarded with the lush job in Gazprom without suffering any loss of respect in Germany itself.
The fact that the leftist rag like Der Spiegel will write once or twice a year an article in which it acknowledges (very grudgingly and unwillingly) barbarity of neo-Soviet Russia doesn’t make their (the Social-Democrats) hipocricy less revolting.
Oh just great, when do these lords of the flies start in on their thrill-kills. Kremlin and Co. better think twice before their children of the damned turn on them. What stupidity this is.
Romanian and Russian fascists ally against Ukraine and Moldova
The Russian Fascist Eurasian Youth Union (ESM) and the Romanian fascist New Right group (Noua Dreapta) have made a pact to cooperate in defense of the Orthodox faith. They will also “organize joint actions to defend the rights of the Russian and Romanian populations in Ukraine” and “support national movements that are now repressed by the Ukrainian authorities”.
They justify their agreement on the grounds that “the existence of Ukraine is not fair to the interests of Russian and Romanian people”, but the reality is that it will further destabilize Ukraine’s fragile political situation.
Moldova, and its separatist Trans-Dniester region, is also a priority target for the bloc’s future activities.
The ESM is the youth wing of the Eurasian Movement, headed by the Russian philosopher and political scientist Alexander Dugin, who recently became a director of the Centre for Conservative Studies at Moscow State University’s Department of Sociology.
He is said to be close to some individuals in the Russian ruling elite. The Eurasian Movement’s ideology originates in the early 20th century. It is based on Russian nationalism and imperialism and calls for the formation of a new Eurasian empire centered on Russia. The Movement’s leading body includes diplomats, journalists and politicians from Russia and other eastern European countries, including the leader of the pro-Russian Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, Natalia Vitrenko. The Movement has a representative in Moldova, who is based in Trans-Dniester, a mainly Russian-speaking strip of land on the Moldovan border with Ukraine, which is a meeting point for Russian and Ukrainian nationalist extremists.
The ESM,which also has branches in many eastern European countries, including Moldova and Trans-Dniester, is banned in Ukraine because of its extremely violent nature. In Moldova and Trans-Dniester, representatives of the Eurasian Movement and the ESM are part of the hardline opposition to Communist President Vladimir Voronin and the current Moldovan government, whom they criticise for not being pro-Russian.
The Romanian New Right group, which has a branch in Moldova, has recently become quite active and played a visible role in violent anti-government protests in April in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. It also organized a chain of protests throughout Romania at the same time, mainly by young people, to oppose “communist totalitarian dictatorship” in Moldova and to unite the two countries.
New Right’s own ideology has its roots in Corneliu Codreanu’s anti-Semitic Iron Guard of the 1930s. Its main aim is to restore the “Greater Romania” of the interwar period which included the Ukrainian part of Bukovina and Moldova. These fascists are notorious for their militant nationalism and their opposition to Roma people, the Hungarian minority, gays, communists, the European Union and religions other than Orthodox Christianity. Internationally, New Right is part of the European National Front, an umbrella group of fascist and nazi organizations that includes the Falange in Spain, the National Democratic Party in Germany, New Force in Italy and National Rebirth of Poland. The ENF’s gathering in Germany in 2007 was attended by Chris Beverley of the British National Party.
New Right also cultivates links with mainstream right-wing politicians, including Dorin Chirtoaca, the mayor of Chisinau and vice-chairman of the Liberal party of Moldova, who is known for his hardline pro-Romanian and pro-unification views. A frequent visitor to Romania, Chirtoaca has participated in New Right events. Significantly, New Right has also built links with sections of the mainstream media in Moldova, including the Vocea Basarbiei radio station and newspapers such as Timpul and Ziarul de Garda.These papers have also become an unofficial political platform for Moldova’s Liberal and Liberal-Democratic parties and are notorious for Holocaust revisionism and the iconization of Ion Antonescu, Romania’s pro-Nazi wartime dictator. In Moldova, they pose as democratic and pro-European media supported by such respected organizations as the Centre for Independent Journalism.
New Right’s Moldovan leader Sergiu Bacalov is employed in the History Department of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences and writes extensively on the “history of the Romanians”. What seems marginal in western Europe has become mainstream in post- Soviet countries such as Moldova. The issue of re-division of territories is at the top of the agenda of post-Soviet regional politics today as Russia tries to maintain its influence in the former Soviet countries. Conflicts between Romania and Ukraine have become widely discussed in the media and by politicians.
Similarly, the violent events that followed the Moldovan general election in April can be analyzed in this context. One of the key roles in these political territorial conflicts is being played by previously marginal fascist groups that are gaining growing popularity in the region, have increasing access to the media and hide their disruptive agenda behind slogans about “democracy”,“human rights” and “free speech”.

Andrew girl, you have no sense of humour, do you? Ask your Georgian friends to teach you some. Georgians are famous for their humour and sarcasm. But since you don’t understand humour, let me give you a dead serious explanation why Lucas’ article is abhorrent:
1. It lied that there were “millions” of youngsters at that camp. In reality, there were 10,000.
2. He lied that it was a camp for sex orgies, and that promiscuous sex was encouraged. On the contrary, Seliger is like an American christian fundamentalist camp, where all sexual contact between unmarried couples is forbidden, and where youngsters are pressured to get married and have as many children as possible. As I said, the typical Christian fundamentalist ideology.
Actually the photo description in the daily mail did that.
The same article was printed in several other magazines that CORRECTLY labelled the photo as “thousands” I am sure you can find them if you look hard enough my pederastic friend.

Pro-Kremlin youth group blamed for attacking paper

The Russian newspaper Kommersant, one of the country’s last bastions of free speech, appears to be under attack from the pro-Kremlin youth group Nashi this week, apparently as revenge for referring to them as “frenzied chavs”.
Since Monday, people posing as employees have been handing out rolls of toilet paper outside various Moscow metro stations emblazoned with the newspaper’s logo. The rolls were printed with a “letter from the editor” and contained the mobile phone number of the reporter responsible for the reference, which was published in January.
Nashi was set up with Kremlin assistance in 2005 to counter the threat of a Ukrainian-style “orange revolution”. Its mass summer camps and well-organised street demonstrations have led some to compare it to the Hitler Youth.
Kommersant’s article quoted sources in the administration saying that the Kremlin planned to disband Nashi as it had become an embarrassment.
“We have fairly good reasons to suspect that it’s Nashi,” said Pavel Filenkov, the commercial director of Kommersant’s publishing house, who said the paper would be taking legal action against the organisers for illegally using its trademarks and falsely attributing words to its editor.
Several Russian websites published a leaked email allegedly written by Nashi’s press secretary Kristina Potupchik, pressing people to action. “Block their work. Psychologically and physically pester them. Revenge is essential,”it said.
The email suggests buying up the entire print run of the paper and destroying it, picketing its presses and using hackers to bring down its website.
Ms Potupchik denied writing the email and said that the campaign has “nothing to do with Nashi”.
