  1. I’ve just been informed that in at least one oblast , access to non-Russian websites is being denied…as they say, the pen is mightier than the sword… must mean the malignant little dwarf has something to fear

  2. Things are starting to heat up. Grani.ru reports that there was a meeting/demonstration in Siberia in which more than 1,000 people participated, including soldiers and the elite Russian Special Forces who were ordered not to attend: http://grani.ru/War/Mil_spending/m.148424.html.

    I wonder whether the Kremlin will send in the OMON troops from Moscow and Dagestan to break things up as they did in Vladivostok and the Far East when Russian drivers were protesting. OMON versus Spetsnaz. That would certainly make for an interesting show.
