NOTE:  Ouch!  The new president of Ukraine will make his first official state visit abroad to Europe, not Russia.  Can’t you just hear those poor Russophile hearts breaking?

  1. Now that is a surprise! As personally I never believed that Yanukovych would forge real close ties with RuSSia as no man in their right mind as the President of an independent nation, and a large one at that, would subjugate himself to Putin’s yoke.

There is no doubt that Yanukovych is also controlled by the likes of such extremely rich businessmen as Rinat Akhmetov and et al, who literally financially control industrial Eastern Ukraine. One can imagine their views of Putin and the c0ntrol he exercises over their counterparts in RuSSia.

10 out of 10 Mr. President elect Mr Yanukovych for making a trip to Europe your first, so to speak, cab off the rank. Those nations will not shackle you or parts of Ukraine as most certainly stupid Putin and his RuSSia would.

  2. Ice hockey and the RuSSian team is a great pride in RuSSia. Well, Canadians just brutally crushed RuSSians 7-3 in Vancouver. RuSSia is out and they go back home to their poor and isolated fascist state with empty hands. Goodbye RuSSians, we are not going to miss you !

Thanks to Canada, the USA, Finland and Slovakia and good luck ! It’s very nice to see the last matches without RuSSian fascists.

  3. Dear Bohdan! I guess it’d be too naive to get ourseselves deluded by Yanukovich, for years lots of pro-Western experts hoped he’d change but he hasn’t! He’s agenda stays the same and it’s far from our European aspirations. He’s proved it today in his inaugural speech, confirming again his intention to make Ukraine a neutral state, i.e to neuter the country geopolitically.
Yes he talks some pretty vague stuff about the place of Ukraine in Europe, yadda yadda, but don’t you see, that’s totally typical of him: empty non-commital words and declarations for the pro-Western, liberal and patriotic people but when it comes to real actions he does his worst to please ruscists.

  4. La Russophobe, how about reporting on the creation of the North Caucasian Federal District? Could it have something to do with the current situation there?

  5. There is reason to believe there is shale gas in Ireland which 350 million years ago was contiguous with the American east coast. It just gets bigger and bigger.

Poor Russians. Just a little while ago they thought they were an energy super power [and they naturally behaved like Russian bastards].
